Huatar Earthspear is the wise, calm, and caring Chieftain of <The Earthspear Tribe>.
Personality
Huatar is as calm and wise as any Tauren, and thus very patient with those he interacts with. Though his eight years away from his tribal homelands had twisted his personality somewhat, he still retains the former while adding a new one to it.
Appearance
If you see him from afar, he'll look like most Tauren with brown, white fur. However, up close more features of him are more visible, such as several scars--one most notable creeping up his cheek and over his left eye. During times of conflict and battle, he is seen wearing armor given to him as gifts from those he completes deeds for, or armor and weapons he pulls from the dead grips of a foe he had slain. When conversing with his people or on diplomatic ventures, he wears a green leather "crown" with green feathers that denotes his status as Chieftain.
Huatar is a Tauren of many weapon expertises. When in combat, he would be seen carrying a large blade as well as the Earthspear--The legendary weapon of his people once held by his father, the late Chieftain--on his back, a shield he had literally grabbed and forced from the so-called Scarlet Commander in the Scarlet Monastery, and two extra blades at his hips used for last-stand purposes. First and foremost, Huatar is a Tauren of the Blade, using Elven and Tauren-crafted swords since he were a young calf. Details on how he acquired his well-used and ancient blade will be in the History section.
History
Huatar's life is, by Tauren standards, a very short one as Chieftain compared to others such as Cairne Bloodhoof. Born of Earthspear Blood from his father, Grimn Earthspear - the then-current Chieftain - and his mother Aliah, Huatar was expected of many things come adulthood and his trials leading into them.
Born of a Legacy
Huatar is the only remaining chapter of the legacy of Bronn Earthspear, Huatar's great ancestor and founder of the Earthspear Tribe. While he was but a young calf, Huatar had heard all of the great stories of his even greater ancestor, and took into account all of the deeds he had done. Huatar developed a calm, wise, and patient personality from this.
Rites of Adulthood
Huatar's rites took place over the course of three weeks, beginning with the meeting of his tribe's Elder Seers to recieve visions of the task laid out before him. His first trial was to visit the very cave that Bronn Earthspear went into to create the Earthspear, and to face whatever danger was within so that his weapon can be infused with the powers of Elemental Earth and Air - though not becoming as powerful as the Earthspear itself. Before this, however, he had to recover a weapon, created by Elven hands, from the snowy landscapes of Winterspring. Once there, he had to seek out a shrine built by the Night Elves long ago and recover Zyphos, the Blade of the Wind.
The blade itself is of perfect ancient Elven craftsmanship, said to have been held by the commander that led the Night Elven resistance against the Burning Legion over ten-thousand years prior. Its runes denoted a history of violence and of abandonment - though these were imprinted in Darnassian, Huatar could understand it. Upon recovering the blade, he was forced to fight himself out of a cave full of deceased ancient Night Elves, bent on protecting the blade and to prevent Huatar from taking it.
Huatar then took the blade to the aforementioned cave, where the blade was infused with great speed and strength - allowing Huatar to swing it without hindrance and with great agility.
Trial and Tribulation to Devastation
Huatar eventually returned to the Earthspear Campgrounds to find it decimated and full of death, and destruction. All he had known was wiped out. Devastated by this horrendous act, Huatar had fled the grounds, knowing that whomever came to destroy his people would certainly return to see if there were survivors.
For the eight years since that tragedy, Huatar traveled the world to its fullest extent. His heart was wrought with pain and suffering, but he pressed on without fear or pause. He began to do his duties to Thrall's Horde - his personality had shifted entirely. He was no longer the calm and patient Tauren he was before.
Return to the Ancestral Grounds
After eight years had passed, Huatar returned to the forsaken land of his people. His heart heavy, he stepped through the campgrounds in remembrance to his people. Skeletons were half-buried, but were clearly visible. It was then that Huatar saw one of the greatest scenes he could ever imagine...
Return of the Earthspear
As Huatar walked through what was left of his Tribe's homeland, he saw something that he never had. Atop a mound was the larger skeleton of his father, Grimn Earthspear, with the fabled Earthspear in his bony hands, remains of Centaur surrounding him. Huatar had never seen this before, but as he approached, he could hear his calling. He gripped the Earthspear and pulled it out of the ground.
Thus it was, that he would be the new Chieftain of a people once-gone.
An Unfortunate Meeting - Rhonoa Ironhoof
Many months ago, Huatar had come across an awesome sight; a female Tauren fighting against all odds to protect herself from an ambush of Centaur. When he nursed her wounds, he discovered her name to be Rhonoa Ironhoof, and discovered that she had a mate and a son somewhere to the southwest of where they were. When he returned with the devastating news that only a large Tauren male could be found, slain, Rhonoa went silent for many weeks. However, she agreed to return with Huatar to Mulgore and his Tribe.
Courtship and Love-Bond
For many months following their meeting, Huatar and Rhonoa had always been seen together. Soon, their relationship had been from just a friendship to a full courtship. After many more weeks after they professed their love for one another, Rhonoa was forced to leave due to her sudden leadership over the Ironhoof tribe.
Several days later, Rhonoa returned to Huatar for guidance on how to unite her tribe with the others of Mulgore. Huatar had taken this opportunity to propose to Rhonoa through a special Love-Bond. Rhonoa had accepted.
Trials of the Ancestors; Reforging of the Spear
(Told at Story Circle, on July 11, 2009)
After a day's journey, I had arrived to the cliffs, above which the cave was positioned, as if carved into by the Earthmother, herself. I entered these caves, without knowledge of what awaited me...
Within the caves awaited the spirits of my honored ancestors...The past generations of my bloodline, all of the Chieftains of the Earthspear, and bearers of the weapon. My trials were to defeat them in combat. It started with my own father, who gave his life defending the tribe, though unsuccessfuly, during the last war... And down three more generations, before it came down to the pivotal moment...
I could not believe my eyes...Before me, as my last trial, stood the spirit of my great ancestor, Bronn Earthspear. Knowing his prowess from all the tales I have heard of him, I did not know how I could best him in combat...It was a grueling task, nevertheless, and the battle was great and lasting.
An Orc would consider it the perfect fight.
Holding on to my own life, I had fought valiantly against my ancestor...Until, at last, he had recognized my abilities...And my own prowess with the weapon he forged with his own paws. At last, my trials had ended...But what had I accomplished? Before me, each spirit that I had bested joined my ancestor, and took the Earthspear. They all combined their own spirits with the weapon... And forged this...
And now, so long as I wield the weapon, I hold all of their spirits...They fight through me, as I fight in their memories...And their strengths.

Trivia
Out of Character
- Huatar was made exactly on his player's birthday. As such, whenever the player has his birthday, Huatar will grow in age.
In-Character
- Both out of character and in-character, Huatar had been influenced by several people in the Banepaw Fellowship, from Moon Guard. Despite them being an off-server guild, they are integrated into Huatar's backstory.
- Huatar is currently married to his first mate, Rhonoa Ironhoof.
- Though somewhat young in age, Huatar is privy to many mistakes. But beyond those mistakes, he is a very wise Tauren who makes his decisions based on the betterment and protection of his Tribe.
- Huatar is only 59 years old in Tauren years.
