Before his death, Samuel "Swaff" Moorson was the High Inquisitor and Archmage of the Legion of the Dawn, and a loyal friend to the Highlord Lys Raseri. After his death, his body was returned to Kul'Tiras.

Samuel "Swaff" Moorson was a human born in the wonderful island nation of Kul'Tiras. When he grew up, he studied in Dalaran with the Kirin Tor and eventually joined the organization known as The Legion of the Dawn. After years of service to the order, he was shockingly murdered by the Dawn's ally, Archwizard Alranon Purdue.

- Samuel was a raging alcoholic. There was nearly never a day he didn't drink.
- After his death, it was revealed "Swaff" was also a practicing necromancer. How he rose through the ranks of a Holy Order and made it to second-in-command, nobody knows.
