I'm seeing a lot of questions related to creativity and the Moonguard wiki(s) with regards to page design, infoboxes, dividers, and icons, among other things.
I feel like it's obvious, but I'm going to state it here:
This is not Moonguard's wiki, this is the wiki for Wyrmrest Accord.
We are rebuilding the foundation of the wiki. This means standardizing the look and feel of the wiki.
When we ask you to use a certain infobox, or conform to a certain format, it is for the following reasons:[]
(1) We're designing and testing things like infoboxes to work with the new portability and design of Fandom/Wikia, and with the site CSS, which is being re-coded.
(2) While we're doing this design and testing, imported and exotic formats and boxes will be broken because they are not designed to work with the new code.
(3) Not everyone is a expert or coherent in wikitext or page design. Using one infobox for each type of article lets us create page design templates, which make it easier for you, the article author, to plug in your information, images, and post your article to the wiki.
You can already see the results of this when you make a new page and see "Character, Organization, and Story" following Select Page Type. We plan on adding more templates for Event and Geographical Location pages.
Please help us by adhering to the article standards in the WrAWiki:Guidelines. This includes not using icons for the topic dividers.
